A few miles from our church is a McDonald's that has become a favorite gathering spot for breakfast and lunch for many of our retirees and other folks. For more than a year now, Pastor Teresa joins the group on Wednesday for lunch, fellowship, laughing and fun. Others besides our church members often join in. It's a fun shared time where many have learned to know us and about
New Hope a little better. Some of our church members are always at McDonald's for lunch on Wednesday!

Hello!

I could tell you that I'm married to Ted who is a pastor and the Fredericksburg District Superintendent and have a daughter in college, or that I've been a pastor for more than twenty-five years, or that I'm a Wisconsin farm girl who was sweet talked into living in the best state of the union (mountains, beaches, piedmont and cities too!)  But what I would rather tell you about is that I've known hopelessness but have found hope.  I've wondered what the point is to living but have found all the reason to live. I've found that suffering can be used for greater things. For instance, when I tell people that I've battled depression for most of my adult life; their eyes light up.  No, it's not that they are delighted that someone has suffered or has known depression; it's that meeting someone else who has gone through hard things and is alive and laughs gives you hope.

Here I am.  I can't wait to meet you. I  want to share with you my story of being at the bottom of the pit and who and how and where and why I am where I am today.   I want to introduce you to your adopted brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles,  and grandparents in Christ at New Hope. Come and feel love. See the power of Christ. Join us on the journey to daily claim New Hope in Jesus Christ.

Peace, Blessings and Joy to you,

Teresa
