Ministry at McDonald's
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
419 Chatham Heights Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405

A few miles from our church is a McDonald's that has become a favorite gathering spot for breakfast and lunch for many of our retirees and other folks. For more than a year now, Pastor Teresa joins the group on Wednesday for lunch, fellowship, laughing and fun. Others besides our church members often join in. It's a fun shared time where many have learned to know us and about
New Hope a little better. Some of our church members are always at McDonald's for lunch on Wednesday!

Holy Communion

New Hope Celebrates Holy Communion on Special High Holidays and on the first Sunday of each Month.

We believe God calls all of us to the communion table to share in God's love, forgiveness, salvation and reconciliation.

To best welcome all people we serve the following yummy communion bread.

Here's the receipe should you have questions or want to have some at home.

Gluten Free, Top 8 Allergen Free, Vegan Communion Bread

1 &3/4 cups gluten free all purpose flour (I use Bob's Red Mill GF All Purpose Baking Flour)

1/4 cupcoconut flour

1 t baking powder

1 t baking soda

1/2 t salt

1 t of xanthan gum or guar gum

3/4 c sugar

1/3 c vegetable oil

3/4 c of rice milk or coconut milk + 1 t apple cider vinegar

1 1/4 c unsweetened applesauce

1 t vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 330 degrees.  Line four mini loaf pans with parchment paper.
Whisk together all the dry ingredients.
Add in the wet ingredients and mix with a hand mixer.
Pour in the mini loaf pans and bake for 35-45 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean).
Let rest in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
